Success at SeptemberFest

Success at SeptemberFest! The 5th Annual Helena SeptemberFest was a rousing success. Each year it this event gets bigger and better. We had 152 registered runners in the 1K for United Way donut run, compared to our previous record of 43 participants. The 29 Dinosaur balloon sculptures were all over downtown and included our first ever scavenger hunt. To cap off the day, we had the most derby cars ever, with 26 racing participants! Each year the creativity, fun, and support of the Helena community grows.

With our first ever Calcutta, we raised just shy of $8000 dollars. A portion of that will be going to one of our partner nonprofits, to be announced soon. Our Balloon Poppin’ party had the most sculptures ever and every last balloon was popped in just about 9 minutes. Our Helena faithful came out in force and let the children run rampant – with tacks (safely).

Most importantly we raised $9000 that will help the United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area support our Housing First, Free Tax Help, Shower to Empower Program and our Community Pantry as we head into the winter months. We thank everyone for their generous support in showing up to the event and sponsoring us! A huge shoutout to our Volunteer Coordinator Travis Brower, the incredible Neil Sauter, and the biggest amount of respect and admirations to the event planner, Vanessa Larson! Without her, this event wouldn’t have been possible.
