The United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area is proud to support local families and strengthen our community through events like SeptemberFest. As we wrap up this year’s festival, we’re excited to share how those efforts are already making an impact.
The first recipient was a familiar face from right here in Helena, Kyle, the winner of our 50/50 raffle. Kyle mentioned that he lives just a few blocks from the derby racetrack and couldn’t resist bringing his family out to enjoy the festivities. His participation, like that of so many others, helped make the event a true community celebration.
The second recipient was Family Outreach, Inc., represented by Executive Director Jackie Mohler. Family Outreach is one of United Way’s valued nonprofit partners, and this year, they were randomly selected as the beneficiary of proceeds from our Calcutta event. The organization provides innovative community-based services that support individuals with developmental disabilities across their lifespans, ensuring they have the same opportunities as any other Montanan.
Events like SeptemberFest are only possible thanks to the collaboration of local businesses, organizations, and residents. We’re grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to making this year’s celebration a success.
Planning for next year’s SeptemberFest is already underway, and we’re looking forward to another great event that brings our community together. If you or your business would like to be involved, please contact United Way of the Lewis and Clark Area to learn more about partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
