
Helena attorney Katie Verderber is making a name for herself both in the courtroom and on the ice.
A member of the USA Wheelchair Curling Team, Katie has represented the United States in international competitions, showcasing the same focus, dedication, and strategic thinking she brings to her legal work at Silverman Law Office. She is also currently in the team selection process for USA Wheelchair Curling, with the goal of representing the United States at the Winter Paralympics in March 2026.
Raised in Valier and deeply committed to serving her home state, Katie previously served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the United States Army, providing legal counsel on issues ranging from military justice and administrative law to national security and cybersecurity. She supported both domestic and international operations and deployed to Afghanistan in 2019.

After medically retiring from the Army, she returned to Montana and joined the Montana Department of Justice as a civil litigator, representing the state in high-stakes matters including wrongful convictions, inmate litigation, and constitutional challenges.
Now as a litigator at Silverman Law Office, Katie focuses on resolving complex business, contract, real estate, and probate disputes for clients across Montana.
