The Last Chance Curling Club (LCCC) is bursting with pride as we announce that one of our own is headed to the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games!
Katie Verderber will proudly represent Team USA in Wheelchair Mixed Curling in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. A Helena attorney with Silverman Law Office, Verderber’s distinguished background includes service as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the United States Army. After medically retiring, she returned to her Montana roots, driven by a passion to serve.
Join us in supporting Katie’s trip to Italy! LCCC will be hosting a fundraiser soon to help with her travel and Olympic expenses. Details will be announced on our website and social media.
đź‘» Creepy Sweepy Bone-spiel: A Sweepy Success
In October, LCCC successfully hosted its 5th annual Creepy Sweepy Bone-spiel, bringing in 16 competitive teams, including out-of-state curlers from North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, and Utah. The Halloween-themed event, which encourages costumed play and featured a spectacular opening ceremony by the Black Devils Pipe and Drum Corp, was a huge success. Making club history, Helena teams swept the field, winning the A, B, and C brackets for the first time ever!
