Pat McGaughey
“Business Leadership: Academic to Pandemic to Dynamic”

A leadership program based on where we were prior to COVID-19, to examine examples of leadership during the pandemic and visualizing how the past and the present have shaped and defined us for leading our businesses into the next decade and beyond.

The Academic past: A review of the great leadership lessons learned from our best business leaders which impacted our individual leadership foundations. It’s easier to move forward when you know where you have been.

The Pandemic present: A focus on how leaders have had to pivot with the issues of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chamber of Commerce industry is a premier example of those who have had to lead while facing both the needs and the fears confronting all businesses in this time of crisis. See how your Chamber, and Chambers of Commerce across America, have utilized their leadership skills and strategies to make the pandemic their finest hour.

The Dynamic future: Jimmy Buffett sang it best, “If a hurricane doesn’t leave you dead, it will make you strong.” How will we allow our past leadership performance and especially the pandemic present define us? How will our leadership define our next vision and mission? And how will our leadership shape our next strategic business plans?
